Math-Physics-Chemistry Elite Class
A Math-Physics-Chemistry Elite Class was established in 2004, and later transformed into a mathematics and science specialty class. It expanded enrollments to 40 students per class. The specialization class students take the courses exactly as the same as Dept. of Academic Natural Science in Departments of Comprehensive High School. The reinforced elective courses and seminars can motivate their capabilities of exploring mathematics and science.
The students on this program tend to participate in various activities and competitions such as assisting in holding scientific challenge activities, learning result presentation, science camps for junior high school students, mathematics, information competitions and exhibitions at all levels and so on. Likewise, we also hold the primary exams of physics, biology and earth science for International Olympiad to alleviate the students’ extensive traveling. Apart from getting excellent grades on these various related competitions, they are admitted to enter the departments of Medicine, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology and Science, etc.
To enhance their motivation and interests in research, it is expected that A Math-Physics-Chemistry Elite Class enrolling 35 new students will be established in the 113th Academic year. Through the curriculum enrichments, the students can lay the groundwork for the subjects and apply knowledge and operational skills to individual studies and practicum. Curriculum using literacy approach and promoting the importance of a lifelong learner will be also implemented and cultivated in related fields.
